Survivor Stars Celebrate Wedding in New Jersey

July 2006 — Tom Westman and Danni Boatwright may have been the victors on “Survivor: Pulau” and “Survivor: Guatamala,” but fellow contestant Stephenie LaGrossa has won the ultimate prize– the heart of the man she loves, high school teacher Michael Ward. The Survivor stars became husband and wife on July 7, 2006.

The two reality TV winners were among the guests invited to Ms. LaGrossa’s Seaside Heights, New Jersey nuptials, which embraced a beach theme complete with candles and fans emblazoned with “Life’s A Beach,” according to People Magazine online.

Survivor Winner sticks to her Christian beliefs

March 23rd, 2006

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Would you take your top off for peanut butter?”

Danni Boatwright was in Los Angeles interviewing for “Survivor: Guatemala” when one of the producers asked her that question. Previous female contestants on the show, desperate for a food treat, had done that.

“No!” she responded adamantly.

“Who is the most famous person you’ve slept with?”

By this time, “I was mad,” she said recently. “Evidently from the (audition) tape I sent in (one of about 50,000), they thought I was a party girl because I was fun-loving.”

But Boatwright, 30, a native of Tonganoxie, Kan., is a practicing Christian, a member of an Assembly of God Church and part of a family chock-full of ministers. She and her family spent summers on church mission trips.

For the second round, she said, the interviewers came at her another way.

“You’re from Kansas, so you’re a conservative and probably a Republican. So you hate Jews.”

“`No, I don’t hate Jews,’” she recalled saying. “`My good friend in high school was Jewish. I think you have Christianity all wrong,’” she said. “It’s all about loving people. While on earth, you’re not perfect, but the Lord will forgive you for your sins. I wouldn’t judge anybody, and I don’t think anybody should judge people.” More… »

Brandon Bellinger Survives After “Survivor”

February 16th, 2006

Stephanie Wurtz

A year and a half ago, Brandon Bellinger didn’t have a plan for his life.

He definitely didn’t think he’d be living in the jungle battling it out on a hit reality show.

Now, he’s back on the farm, but Brandon’s not the same person who left for Guatemala last summer. More… »

After Party in the Forum

December 16th, 2005

Reality TV Forums at Survivor.com

Yeah…the afterparty was fun. Quite loud and packed, but fun. There were a bunch of former Survivors there, including Jon Dalton (JFP)…I could’ve done without his presence. He’s proven he’ll stoop to whatever level to keep his 15 minutes going. But it was really fun hanging out with all the contestants over the weekend, especially with me being a HUGE Survivor fan since season 1. It was a once in a lifetime kinda thing.

Jamie and I have been friends for about 8 years. We worked together at a radio station in Georgia. He was still in highschool (or had just graduated…not sure). Jamie is a really down to earth guy. What you see with him is what you get. He’s the same no matter who he’s with. You’ve got to respect that. We kind of lost touch when he went out to Missouri to go to school, and I moved out of town too. Since he graduated college, I started seeing and hanging out with him again since he comes back to town more often (I’ve moved back to Douglas now too). His twin Ramie and I hang out a lot since he lives around here.

As for people…Brandon is a really cool guy. He’s kinda reserved, but really seems genuine. Judd is what you pictured…loud and full of energy. His whole family was really funny the WHOLE time. There is no down time with that bunch. Lydia is nice…really mom-like. Very gracious. Rafe was really nice. Gary didn’t really go out with us after the show, but his kids did. Amy is hilarious. She’s quite the dancer! Didn’t really see that much of Margaret, Brooke, or Brianna. Blake wasn’t lying about his girlfriend! Nice! Bobby Jon seems really cool. A southern gentleman. He and Jamie are really good friends now. Jim was nice. He hung out the after party with us all. Morgan is quite exciting! HAHA! She loves to party. Stephenie was nice enough. Unfortunately, I’d formed an opinion of her on the show that really couldn’t be swayed. Plus she kinda kept her distance from most of us. Didn’t really hang out with us all (she flew with Danni to NY right after the finale ended). She is a very pretty girl though. Danni is amazingly gorgeous in person! Damn! She was pretty funny talking about how she gorged herself when she was done with the show. Brian’s a really nice guy. He is probably the biggest Survivor fan in the world! He knows the game inside and out and can tell you who was voted out when on every season. Truly amazing. Didn’t really get to talk with Cindy much, so I can’t say about her.

Did I miss anyone? Hope not. All in all, everyone on the show that I spoke with was really fun to chat with, and nobody seemed really caught up in the whole “I’m on tv” deal. I think they were in awe at the attention that they got.

Danni Wins It All!

December 11th, 2005

More Photos Tomorrow! Come Back then!

Rafe won the first immunity. Lydia was voted off first. then Danni won immunity. She had to choose who to take with her to the final 2 and picked the wicked witch of the East, Stephanie. How could she lose?

The Final Four was Lydia, Rafe, Danni, and Stephanie. The first immunity challenge was to run through a maze and get puzzle pieces, then solve the puzzle. Lots of shots of running people, but Rafe got there first and solved the puzzle first. Rafe wins immunity.

They all say nice things and pretend to think hard about the decision, but they all vote off Lydia. That was an easy vote.

Then there were three. The last immunity challenge had them standing on unsteady, ball mounted platforms and holding on to ropes for balance. I guess the producers were tired of waiting the 18 hours until someone jumped off into the water like last season. The first hour, they got to hang on to 2 ropes, one in each hand. Then for a half hour, they could only hold on to one rope. At the end of the 30 minutes, they had to let go of both ropes.

The strange thing that happened was that they lost balance with one rope and ended up leaning against the frame holding up the ropes. One foot on the platform and leaning against the frame and they could not touch anything with their hands. Rafe adjusted himself to get comfortable and touched the pole. Buzzz. You’re out.

Danni just stayed there and hardly moved. Stephanie, whoever, slowly slid down the pole. She whined and slid until she hit the ground. She tried really hard, but hit the ground.

Then she cries.

Danni wins the final immunity and has to choose who to take into the final two. But Steph is sitting on the ground, crying. Danni and Rafe go over to comfort her. Rafe feels sorry for Stephanie, so he tells Danni that she is released from the commitment that they made to take each other to the final two. She can take Steph is she wants to. (What an idiot!)

They all talk and say nice things to each other. Rafe and Steph both tell her ot take the other person, to vote with her heart, blah, blah, blah. Danni says she can’t decide, but I’m sure she knew the jury all hated Steph.

When the final tribal council comes, Danni stabs Rafe in the back and takes Stephanie. Of course, Rafe told her that would be OK, but Rafe is upset about it. In his final words, he promises to vote for Steph for final survivor. I think that was her only vote.

During the tribal council questions, everyone asks both Danni and Steph why they did what they did. Judd was the most entertaining when he accused Danni os skating through the game and went off on Steph. Judd really hates Steph. They take the final vote. Jeff takes a helicopter ride that lasts from August 30, when they were done filming unti Dec 11, when they do the reveal. Steph gets one vote and Danni takes the $million.

Next season will be “Survivor Panama, Exile Island”, where one person will spend 3 days on Exile Island by themselves after each tribal council. Stay tuned!

Are you glad Danni won? Did Steph deserve it more? Tell us in the forum.

Guatemala Spoilers - Does This person really win?

December 9th, 2005

Guatemala Spoilers - Reality TV Forums at Survivor.com

Well, I haven’t personally seen the screencaps supporting this “spoiler”, but according to several seperate sources, CBS goofed and had a promo on The Early Show stating they’d have the Survivor Guatemala winner in studio on Monday, then they showed a pic of (go to the forums to find out who…). It seems they caught the mistake and fixed it for the following promo, showing the pic of all four rather than just (deleted). There are supposed to be screencaps floating around showing the error, but as I said, I haven’t personally seen them.

Is this wishful thinking on my part? I don’t know… seems a likely possibility to me. We’ll just have to wait and see!

Read who is rumored to win in the forums!

Cindy Caught by Car Curse

The Final Five is a gay man and 4 women . The last 4 episodes saw the big, strong men voted off in the curse of testosterone. Tonight was reward challenge for the car.

The producers ran out of ideas for challenges again, so they repeated a lot of the ones they used already. People fell off the balance beam, missed their tiles, and it came down to Cindy and Steph in the final task. Cindy won and got to ride the cart down the hill. She wins the car!

But wait! In the last ten seasons of Survivor, no one who won the car went on to win the million bucks. Jeff gives Cindy a choice. She can keep the car OR she can give a new car to each of the other 4 instead.

Should she take the sure thing and keep the car for herself or make everyone who has a vote in the tribal council indebted to her. Make everyone mad or make everyone love you? HHhhmmm. Hard decision. Cindy takes the sure thing and drives off to the BBQ with Steph to enjoy the new car smell.

Cindy has no clue that anyone is angry as she drones on and on about how great it is. When Rafe talks to Steph, she is surprised to hear that Rafe would not even have thought about it and given everyone the cars. Steph, the kind, generous personal that she is, never thinking of herself, is shocked by Rafe’s attitude.

The immunity challenge has them being shackled and given keys to unlock locks that allow them to unwind ropes from poles. Whoever gets everything unlocked and run with their rope to their flag first, wins immunity. Steph, the strong, deserving one, finally wins. This is the first individual challenge that she has ever won in two seasons of Survivor.

Then she cries.

Rafe talks Steph into flipping once more. Cindy chooses Steph to share a BBQ and spend the night with her in Cindy’s reward and then Steph stabs her in the back.

During the tribal council questions, everyone is nervous except Cindy who stands by her decision to not give anyone else a car and justifies it even more. This endears her to all the others who then vote her off.

Cindy’s parting shot? “I’ll be thinking of ya’ll when I look at the stars through the sun roof of my new car.” That’s good because you’ll never se the million bucks.

Are you glad she got voted off? Who will win it all? Tell us in the forum.

Show Schedule

December 5th, 2005

There’s on one more Thursday night show on Dec. 8 and then there’s the Sunday night 2 hour special with the final 4 on Sunday, Dec. 11.

We got a report of DVRs not being automatically set to record these shows, so check yours and make sure you get them set up correctly.

It’s almost over folks! Don’t miss a minute.

Rafe has a huge lead in the “Who Will Win?” poll in the forums. I think he has a chance, but I’m not sure it’s this clear. I think there are others who have a pretty good chance also. Lydia will not win it. I’m thinking that Cindy won’t either, but she’s been pretty loyal and under the radar.

http://forums.survivor.com/showthread.php?t=306

Danni is the fairly clear leader in the “Who Do You WANT to Win?” poll. I think she might pull it off too. We’ll see.

http://forums.survivor.com/showthread.php?t=305

Rafe? Danni? Steph? Who do YOU want to win?

Scumbags Vote Off Judd!

December 2nd, 2005

The reward challenge was an auction, which included food and visits from family members. Danni bought an “advantage in the immunity challenge”. Judd won the family visit with his wife. Where did he get such a cute wife? He got to choose two others to have their family visit also. He chose Steph’s boyfriend and Cindy’s twin sister, Mindy. This of course made Rafe, Danni, and Lydia unhappy. They had to stay the night at the old camp and spent the afternoon scheming against Judd.

Rafe said about Judd that you “can trust that you can’t trust him”. The next day, people were talking. Danni talked to Steph about Judd and how he’d do anything to win. Steph flipped and agreed to vote him off. They didn’t tell Cindy.

The immunity challenge was a game that required “smarts”, so Judd was screwed from the beginning. They had to flip tiles on a large game board and move to the tile they flipped. When they run out of unflipped tiles to move to, they are out of the game. Danni’s advantage was the ability to swap places with anyone at any time. She swapped with Steph half way through and won immunity. She needed it more than anyone, so this was good timing for her.

During the tribal council questions, Judd graciously tells us that they’re all wanting someone to vote off and whoever gets voted off just has to deal with it. When the vote comes, it’s 4 to 2 to vote Judd off. Steph stabbed him in the back. Judd was gracious after the vote and told everyone “Thanks, guys. I hope you all get bit by a freaking crocodile, you scumbags”. Great guy.

Judd, you’re right. You just have to deal with it.

Are you glad he got voted off? Tell us in the forum.

Gary Finally Goes Home

November 25th, 2005

It had nothing to do with him being a football player, he was just the odd man out when you count up the votes. The alliance is too strong at this point. I’ll be back later with more details.

Jamie Goes Home

November 17th, 2005

Last week we started out with Jamie picking a fight after tribal council. This week we start with Jamie picking a fight after tribal council. I’m not even sure what this one was about. He was saying that Gary called him a liar and that Gary was mad at him. Gary was completely calm about it. Everyone was puzzled about what Jamie had to say. The boy was losing it. Mr. Paranoia. If there’s a gap in the story I tell below, fill in a conversation with Jamie asking someone if they are voting him out or if the 6 will stay together. That happened over and over.

The reward challenge was for a helicopter flight to a private house, with showers, a swimming pool and real food for the winning team. The teams were two sets of two men or two women tied together. One team was Steph and Danni, Gary and Judd. The other was Rafe and Jamie, Cindy and Lydia.

Jamie Voted Out!

I haven’t seen it yet, because it’s still 6:00 PST for me, but this was just postd in the forum. Jamie was voted out.

Reality TV Forums at Survivor.com

by mhuffman4335

OK. First of all, I’m so excited because Jamie is finally gone. He is crazy. What was all that when he left the tribal council? At the beginning of the episode, I was confused. He was upset because he said Gary was accusing him of lying. But wasn’t he doing the same thing by accusing Gary of lying? I know he was driving the tribe members crazy because he was driving me nuts and I didn’t have to live with him. Second, if Stephanie cries one more time, I’m gonna scream. She cried three times this episode. I have to admit, though that I was rooting for S/J/G/D at the reward challenge because, as much as I dislike Steph, I didn’t want Jamie to win. I’m glad that Judd is now worried. I’m ready for him to go. I would be ecstatic if Danni won, or even Gary at this point. I would like to see Lydia go far, but I doubt she will. I was surprised that she wasn’t voted out because of the reward challenge. Bless her heart. I am really glad that her lack of athletic ability has not caused her to be a target. I get upset when people get voted out for that reason alone. It’s not all about being athletic and Judd proved that he’s not as athletic as he tries to pretend to be during that reward challenge. I think the only reason they won is because of Lydia not being able to walk through the mud. Rafe has surprised me. He has proved to be alot more athletic than I ever would have thought. The show’s getting more interesting because it’s becoming unpredictable, which is what I like.

Boby Jon Goes Home

November 12th, 2005

I made a lot of screen captures this week and I don’t want to load them all every-time anyone comes to this page, so this is a summary and the rest of the details on the next page.

Everyone hates Jamie. Judd wins the reward challenge, gets drunk, and gets the clue to the immunity idol. The immunity challenge is won by Jamie, who should be voted off, but not tonight. Rafe takes a great fall into the water.

Gary finds the immunity idol and so Bobby Jon is voted off tonight. Read more and see more photos by clicking on this link. More… »

Bandwidth Exeeded Today

November 11th, 2005

I got shut down earlier today and they stopped serving my images. It should be back up at midnight and I’ll make some changes to accomodate their limits. I got new TV video capture software and went a little wild with the images. I’ll try to move them off to another page or something.

Hogeboom?á?í?ôs 15 Minutes of Fame

I?á?í?ôve heard plenty of former ?á?í?star?á?í? quarterbacks blather on in bars about their on-field accomplishments years before. So I was a wee bit skeptical when Gary Hogeboom, Survivor castmate and former NFL QB, compared his struggle as odd man out of a powerful alliance to a game he played decades before, when his Dallas Cowboys were ?á?í?down 20-something to Detroit,?á?í? and he threw for ?á?í?close to 300 yards in one quarter.?á?í?

OK. For starters, Hogeboom was a career backup. Second, any fan of gridiron goings-on knows that throwing for 300 yards in one game?á?í?ìmuch less one quarter?á?í?ìis a nifty accomplishment. Further tweaking my skepticism, online research revealed that Hogeboom threw for all of 978 yards in 1985, the year of the fateful game (which, as it turns out, Dallas lost 26-21). Hogeboom?á?í?ôs poor performance in the spear-throwing challenge last night further made me doubt his accomplishments.

Unable to find individual stats from the game online (remember, it was the Luddite days of 1985), I called the Dallas Cowboys. ?á?í?Jancy?á?í? got back to me in minutes, and offered up Hogeboom?á?í?ôs box score: He entered the game with 14:55 left in the fourth quarter. He completed 17 of 24 passes, including two touchdowns and zero interceptions. And he threw for?á?í?255 yards!

Not bad, Mr. Hogeboom, and certainly not a stretch to call it ?á?í?close to 300 yards.?á?í?

Recalling his finest football moment last night seemed to light a fire under Hogeboom; a short while after mentioning it, he found the immunity idol that had eluded the castaways for days, and staved off sure elimination.

Now, if only Hogeboom can pick apart the Nakum alliance the way he dissected the Detroit secondary decades before?á?í?

Brandon Voted Off Instead of Jamie

November 4th, 2005

Jamie shows how much class he has.

Jamie was less than gracious when the tribe was merged. He was a jerk during the immunity challenge. Bobby Jon wants to punch him in the mouth. His tribe wants to punch him in the mouth. Judd, the king of all jerks, is actually getting annoyed with him. Rafe is feeling really badly that the 6 ex-Nakum are lording their majority over the poor 4 ex-Yaxha. Maybe he’ll flip and vote for Jamie too. It’s not looking good for Jamie. Everyone hates the rude jerk.

The vote is 6-4 for Brandon, straight down the old tribe lines.

Gary won the immunity challenge, while some of the people got to eat food instead. I’ll write up the whole thing later and post some more screen captures from the show. Please come back later to see it all.

In the meantime, check out what everyone is talking about in the forum!

Amy Goes Home, Then The MERGE!

October 27th, 2005

This one started off with a great moment in TV history by showing us the open, festering sores that everyone had from hitting that big ball last week. Bobby Jon shows us a close up of him pulling his shirt off his shoulder, where it stuck to his open sore while he was sleeping. It doesn’t get any better than that! And they wonder why viewer numbers are falling off…

The reward challenge was one with cloth wrapped around poles stuck in the ground. Basically, they had 4 people at 4 poles. One person wrapped themselves in cloth by unwrapping it from the pole. When they were done, run to the next pole, where the two people have to wrap themselves. Then three people, then four, wrapped together. Then they unwrap in order. The first team to do this whole thing wins. It goes well, even if the game makes no sense, until Steph, Lydia and Rafe have fallen and they can’t get up. More… »

Two for the Price of One

October 20th, 2005

Margaret and Brian Gone!

Tonight was a different format. There were two challenges, but one was right after the other and both tribes went to tribal council and lost a member.

It started out with complaints about the mesquitoes. Seems like they’re getting cranky out there. Margaret was sitting around Nakum being bummed. She hates Judd. Judd hates her. Judd’s a cocky idiot.

They meet for the first challenge, two people against two people pushing a big ball across the opposite goal line. Two women against each other then two men, then a man and a women. First tribe to score 3 times wins a BBQ feast.

They push, they play, people win, people lose. Notable events are Amy falling down and hurting her ankle again and Bobby Jon going caveman and yelling at Jamie. Nakum actually wins the BBQ feast, including bread, hamburgers and beer.

As the winner of the reward challenge, Nakum gets to do another challenge for individual immunity. Both tribes go to tribal council, but one person on Nakum gets to have immunity. This challenge had each person running out to a frame, untieing a bag, run back to thier little stand and going to get the next. When they get all 3 of their own bags, they untie them and dump out the lettered tiles, which they use to spell a phrase. First person to have the phrase spelled wins immunity.

Stephanie starts out well on this one and Judd is way behind, not even getting his untied before he looks over at Raff’s tiles, all spelled out. Judd says out loud the phrase “Ancient Ruin” reading from Raff’s before Raff even gets it. Raff wins.

The walk back to camp for both teams is all about who’s going home tonight. Both teasm face it. Nakum has thier BBQ, where Judd is an arrogant jerk and drinks an extra beer, which get’s everyone upset, but who really did drink that extra beer? Judd doesn’t know. Judd doesn’t care. He thinks he’s invicible. Moron.

Amy’s ankle is swelling up over at Yaxha, but she’s just fine, no problem, please dont’ vote me off! Brian tries to keep the old tribe together against Boby Jon.

Tribal council for Nakum comes first. Judd just goes off on Margaret. He really shoots his mouth off, just like that guy in high school on the football team that you always hated. He yells and acts like an idiot, then they all vote out Margaret. There is huge animosity in this tribe and it’s not going away with Margaret.

Raff gets to stay and watch Yaxha’s tribal council, which is a virtual lovefest. Everyone loves everyone else and we’re all proud of each other. Rah. Rah. Rah! Then they all vote out Brian.

Notice that both tribes had 7 members, with 3 old tribe members and 4 new members, yet they both voted unanamously against the person going home. Do the old tribes matter any more?

Next week on Survivor - Amy confronts Gary about being a football player and Yaxha visits Nakum.
