Is Gary Hogeboom a “Survivor” or isn’t he?

That’s the million-dollar question about the Northview High School graduate and former NFL quarterback.

Hogeboom, 46, of Grand Haven, is believed to be a contestant on this fall’s “Survivor: Guatemala,” which will mark the 11th season of CBS’s reality series. But no one — not his family, not the TV network — will confirm this. More… »

Update: Our reader named “Secret” said in the forum that the season starts on Sept. 15th.

So far, from everything that I can find, there has been no schedule published yet. It will be in the Fall Season, so look for it in Sepetember. First or second week, I would guess.

If anyone finds out anything, please let us all know.

Also, there’s been some fun on the Forum. I’m going to turn off comments here in this blog and move everything over there. Go discuss Survivor over there.

I work with a guy who was on Queer Eye for the Straight Girl, so he’s famous in our little circle of friends. He told me that he recently went to a party with a bunch of other people and Collen Haskel from Survivor 1, the original series, showed up. All of a sudden, he was the second most famous reality TV show personality in the room. He was bummed.

He’s a funny guy, so this is a funny story. I just can’t do the voices or faces that he told it to me with. You can laugh now.

After several weeks to sharpen details, finally the contract of “inter-institutional collaboration” was reached yesterday between the company Mundo Antiguo S.A., the Ministry of Culture and Sport, the National Commission of Protected Areas (Conap) and the Inguat for the shooting of the live program Survivor: Guatemala, the Mayan Empire.

Willi Kalschmitt, presidential commissioner for the Tourism, informed yesterday into which the shooting of edition 11 of reality Survivor show will initiate the 27th of June and will conclude in the middle of August.

The filming of the program of the American television network CBS, will be carried out in the Natural reserve Yaxha, Naranjo, one of the archaeological parks in Petan, considered an historical and cultural jewel, as well as a place of unmatched natural beauty.

In this reality show, in addition to the 18 contestants, there will be between 150 and 200 film crew. More… »
