Ibrehem is Voted Off!
Bobby Jon Can’t Solve Simple Puzzle!

March 31st, 2005

Welcome to Survivor.com! It looks like you are a first time visitor. We have Survivor TV show related news and information, plus rumors and things that CBS doesn't talk about. There are a list of links to browse on the left if you are looking for something. We also have a forum, with spoilers, if you want to see what everyone is talking about. Thanks for visiting!

OK, now it’s just getting stupid. I thought James was the stupidest one on the tribe, but Bobby Job is even worse. “We’re working hard, but the other team is smart. I guess we’ll just have to see if working smart beats hard work.” Yeah, well, Bobby Jon, guess what. (moron…)

I liked Ib, I really did. He’s not a bad guy, but not that great at either brains or brawn. I have no idea why…ah, it just doesn’t matter any more. If they don’t merge next week, there’s no point in watching it anymore. Like a blow out Basketball game, who cares?

Big news to start off with was that Kurror got a giant clam and ate it. They left the shells on the beach to wash off, which attracted a shark. Beastmaster Tom goes after one with a machette and hacks it almost in two across it’s back. They had so much shark to ate they were stuffed. This was right after the clam. They were living large at this point.

Tonight’s reward challenge was to build an SOS on the beach so a plane flying by could see it. Ulong built a pretty good one, I thought. Kurror took theirs down the beach so it was more in the open. They had fire to make some smoke, but it went out and they never got the smoke going. (Morons…)

Ulong actually got theirs on fire and made some smoke. The had a big sign and I thought theirs was good. Kurror’s said “Got Food?” which I thought was harder to read. The plane flew over and they judged Kurror the winner. I think Ulong got robbed. I’m surprised to say that, but they actually did better a job. Kurror could only use 3 people, to make it fair, and they let the fire go out. This is one time I need to stick up for Ulong. (morons…)

Kurror won MREs and wine. After the clam and shark, they really didn’t need this reward. It was getting ugly.

The immunity challenge was one of those puzzles where there are a bunch of little square pieces ina frame with one square missing/open. You move the pieces around until the puzzle forms a pattern. They got a little version with the tree mail to practice on. The real challenge was in the water. They had large floating squares, maybe 3 feet square, floating a wooden frame, making it 4X4 squares in size. There was one caller and two people in the water to move pieces. Ulong picked Bobby Jon, the dumbest one on the team, to be their caller. Unbelievable. I’m losing faith in Stephanie for making these dumb decisions. Anyway, Coby was the spotter for Kurror. Bobby Job made it worse as he tried to solve the puzzle. They actually swapped him out with Stephanie, who turned out to not be a lot better. Ulong just needs to give up. They lost by a bunch. The overhead shot showed Kurror’s finished puzzle with Ulong’s puzzle just a big messs of squares, not even close. (morons…)

I kept laughing out loud at the dumb things they did.

Then, to make things worse, Stephanie tried to make some deals with Ib and Bobby Job and both of them really didn’t know who they were going to vote for. It’s not like they were hiding anything or trying to lie or trick her, the two guys really did not have a clue who they were going to vote for. No thoughts of strategy, alliances, friendship, threats, nothing. “I won’t know until I get up there and put pen to paper” says our brainchild Bobby Job. You could tell Stephanie had been thinking about it for days. These guys were just trying to stay awake. (morons…)

There were 3 people in the tribal council, Ib, Stephanie and Bobby Jon. Ib got voted out. I felt sorry for all of them. They all need to be put out of their misery or I’m going to start watching Joey instead. (morons…)

From Fbrunner

koror wins immunity as usual

Bobby jon isnt sure now if he wants to stick to his agreement with Steph so Steph decides to go to Ib and just vote BJ off to gaurantee her stay…at tribal though, she votes Ib and Ib votes her (leaving decideing vote to BJ.

Castoff: Ibrehem

bumperbb tells me:

Koror and Ulong gets voted on the best S.O.S signal. Of course, Koror wins. They get wine, MRE’S (military meals ready to eat), and fishing tackle. Both teams put together a puzzle for immunity. Again Koror wins. Ibreham gets voted off.!!!!!!!!!

And then there were this comment from trent on the last post:

Once again, now that the show is over, I say they are total fricking idiots. Why didn?á?í?ôt they sit down TOGETHER and agreee to vote for each other? There was no way to break the tie. Morons.

It’s back to Thursday Nights

March 30th, 2005

They’re gonna kill themselves a shark and eat that puppy this week. Yee Haa! More blood on TV. I remember when they killed a pig during one season, I think Australia. You should have seen the email I got when that happened. All these people watching Survivor stopped, looked up from their cheesburgers and complained that someone killed a poor little pig. I’m gonna hear it again after this show. Am I right? Are you pissed off? I knew you were.

Well, leave us a comment (not that you need to be asked). There are currently 19 coments on that last post. Some of them are pretty good. Take a minute and read some. The last comment that was posted (as I write this, anyway) is great. It shows the intelligence, skills, and ability to communicate clearly that I look for in a TV show fan. Enjoy. (All of the spelling is as he posted it.)

get over it. What are you some person that got rejected from the show or something. If oyu odn?á?í?ôt like there is a thing called changing the channel, and if it?á?í?ôs oyur job to report on survivor, which for some reason I odn?á?í?ôt think you have to, mainly because you sell survivor software. So yeah don?á?í?ôt think that I?á?í?ôm some survivor junkie or anything, but wow you bitter fro some reason!!

scott

Oyu rite. I bitter fro peopel sending bad mails me.

James is Gone! It’s About Time!

March 23rd, 2005

“I can tie a really good knot. I was in the Navy.”
“I’ve shot a lot of guns.”
“I was a contractor. I can build anything.”

Well, Stephanie is better than you at everything, James. I can’t believe you lasted this long. Angie was better than you are. It’s just that everyone else in your tribe is completely devoid of any leadership skills while you at least have a big mouth. They all follow you like puppy dogs.

The reward challenge was shooting at hanging tiles with a paint ball gun made to look like a machine gun. Stephanie went 4 for 4 while James missed every shot. Koror was chasing Ulong the whole way. They caught up with them, but Ulong won anyway. Their reward was a can of Pringles (???? Dude, give me some stew instead!) and a MaiTai drink. What a combo that was. I guess if you’re really hungery that works, but Pringles is not my idea of a reward.

The cool part of the rewad was a trip to Jellyfish Lake where they got to snorkle with millions of stingless jelleyfish. I actually saw an IMAX movie about this lake and it’s very impressive, very cool.

The immunity challenge was another stupid task. Stay with me while I try to explain it. They had a fooklocker with the OTHER tribe’s flag in it. They had to tie up a footlocker with rope in their camp. They took the locker to the challenge where they had to swim out to get three bundles of sticks/logs (random branches they found on the beach? They drag the branches back to the beach where there’s four posts in the ground in a square. They have to tie up the branches on top of the locker and to the four posts in 20 minutes.

After everything is all tied up, the other team has to untie their own footlocker and retrieve their own flag and run it up a flagpole. First one up wins.

OK, picture this. A rope tied around a footlocker. They swim out to get these branches and then tie up the branches on top of the footlocker. Does this make sense? Is this the next Olympic sport? Tied up footlockers. I just donno any more.

When they get the treemail, James says that he was in the Navy so he knows how to make good knots. Everyone else nods their heads and lets him make this one big knot that turns out to be easy to untie. When the challenge starts, James takes 5 minutes to tie up his skirt while two people swim out to the branches. He stands around waiting. Korror makes short work of the knot James used.

Of course, Ulong loses again. They are now 6 for 6 in the immunity challenges. No other tribe has lost so many in a row. I don’t even feel sorry for them. I bet Stephanie goes all the way, but the others will be shed soon.

Stephanie does lie to Bobby Jon, the epitome of a cute, stupid hunky guy. I bet he was a model hired for his looks. I feel bad that she had to lie, but hey, this is Survivor. I was shocked that she even had to think about voting for James or not. She actually voted for Ib, so it was a tie. That was dumb move on her part. She needed to keep up the front for Bobby Jon.

So, after the tie, she changed her vote and James got kicked off. We had a little cheer in our house at that moment. James was totally getting on my nerves.

I’m hoping for a merge. They have to make this interesting soon. This is getting boring. There’s a few people on the Korro tribe that need to go now too. If the merge doesn’t happen next, I’m just gonna wait for your emails telling me what happens. It can only get better, right?

It’s now 8 in Korror to 3 in Ulong. Next week, we’ll be back at our normally scheduled day and time, 8:00pm Thursday.

What did you think of the show tonight?

It’s Tonight! not tomorrow…

Do you think that Ulong will EVER win immunity? OK, will they win it this week? Will the merge happen this week? Will the producers make more stupid decisions about how the game is played, I mean, …will there be more “twists”? Who do you think will be voted off? Please leave comments. (and go read the ones that others have left. There’s a lot of emotion out there!)

Remember - Anyone who lives on the East Coast - Send me an email right after the show so that us on the West Coast can know who’s gonna get kicked off before we see the show. Yes, we really want to know. It makes me feel like we’re putting something over on Mark Burnett or something. I see a spike in web traffic right then, so some other people must come to find out too. episode5@walton2.com

Thanks for your help!

IT’S ON WEDNESDAY AGAIN!

March 22nd, 2005

Wednesday!
Wednesday!
Wednesday!

I just wanted to warn you a bit. Too many of you missed last week because of the change in schedule.

The promos are talking about “Faith” and “Fear”. I hope it’s not James that’s a Christian. We (I’m a Christian, you know) get a bad rap already for the stupid things that are done in Jesus’ name. We don’t need an ignorant red neck talking about them “homo-sexuals” claiming to be a Christian now too. Please let it be someone cool.

Fans Angry About Format

March 18th, 2005

Wow. Based on the comments you guys are leaving, it looks like everyone is pretty upset with how last week went, e.g., two councils instead of one, the winners eating in front of the losers, etc. You’re also not happy about it being on Weds night instead of the usual Thurs night timeslot. Well, here’s a warning for everyone:

It’s on WEDNESDAY NIGHT next week again!

I’m not a Basketball fan, but it’s moved because of the March Madness College Basketball games. More money and better ratings, blah, blah, blah. Whatever, CBS.

They really surprised me with the arbitrary changes in format. I still have no idea why they did TWO councils. That just seems like the dumbest idea and sure to make people mad. I know controversy is good for ratings, but getting people used to one thing and then changing it on them is going to make them mad. No surprise there. Looks like Mark Burnett is finally losing his touch. The Contender is not doing well in ratings, but I’m looking forward to the Martha version of the Apprentice. I love the Apprentice too (although I hate The Donald, who is a media whore if there ever was one).

We’ll just have to wait until NEXT WEDNESDAY to see what happens next week.

Keep leaving those comments though! Maybe we can shake something up.

Carmaker not reality winner

USATODAY.com

Orlins had heard about the Survivor car curse, which says that those who win the car challenge are doomed to be among the losers. Indeed, Orlins was voted off the island with four people left in the game.

In fact, no one who has won the car challenge has gone on to win the game. And the promotion doesn’t seem to be faring well for the sponsor, either. General Motors (GM) has given away nine different car and truck models to Survivor contestants, and none is seeing particularly robust sales.

But that isn’t keeping GM from its tie-in with Survivor, which reportedly costs the automaker more than $12.5 million a season.

It certainly appears that awareness alone ?á?í?ì even through a hit TV show ?á?í?ì doesn’t guarantee big sales.

Of the nine GM cars and trucks given away on Survivor, dealers have more than 100 days’ worth of inventory for eight of them, enough to last them into June. An average of 60 to 70 days’ supply is considered healthy.

Production of Pontiac Aztek, which GM gave away in two seasons of the show, ended in December. Chevy Avalanche sales were down 14% last year. Saturn Ion sales were down 11.2%. The Saturn Vue was recalled because of a potentially dangerous problem with its rear suspension, although sales of the SUV were up in 2004.

Orlins, who won her car last year in Survivor’s ninth version, hasn’t yet received her prize. But she says she’s considering selling the G6 and using the proceeds to help pay for law school.

She wouldn’t be the first winner to sell the prize car. Texan Colby Donaldson sold the maroon Pontiac Aztek he won in 2001 during the second Survivor on eBay.

Willard and Angie voted off

March 16th, 2005

It’s on Weds. again next week.

I have no idea why, but they decided to have TWO councils tonight. Kuror won AGAIN and their reward was to eat stew in front of Ulong and watch them do their tribal council. First, they had to vote someone off. It was no surprise that it was Willard. He was an admitted grumpy old man that couldn’t keep up in the challenges. He knew he was going and was ready for it. No hard feelings.

The Ulong tribe, on the other hand, was in for a twist. Ibrahim blew the challenge for them that day. He failed miserably and everyone was ready to vote him off. Lots of emotion in that one.

At the tribal council, Koror voted off Willard, ate their stew, and watched Ulong complain about each other. Jeff then says that they, Kuror, has to vote for which person in the Ulong tribe gets immunity. Everyone is shocked. They voted for Ibrahim to get immunity. That throws everyone in Ulong into chaos.

The had 5 people. The vote was tied between Bobby Jon and Angie. In the case of this tie, the other three people had to vote for one of them. They all voted for Angie.

So, I’m wondering what the heck happened tonight? It was the night of a thousand councils. Did they need to save money by having the big dramatic moments sitting around the fire instead of doing a second challenge? Did they give the construction crew a vacation, so they couldn’t build another challenge? Was Mark Burnett sitting in his air conditioned trailer thinking about what he could do to shake it all up?

I know they are going for ratings, but it seems like they just change the rules whenever they feel like it. This is not really fair, it seems to me. When are they going to merge? and why? Why don’t they say what they are going to do long before they do it?

Oh, wait. This isn’t really a sport or a contest, it’s entertainment, like professional wrestling. It’s not real. I keep forgetting.

I guess the guy below, who can’t spell and complained about Angie’s outfit not being um….demure enough, should be happy. I kind of liked her. I always like the outsider types.
