People argue all the time about whether or not playing plastic instruments helps you become a better musician. One question people don’t ask nearly as often is whether or not playing Smash Bros. can help you survive. Thankfully, the newest season of survivor will provide us with an answer to the latter.
Entertainment Weekly (via MTV) recently talked to one of the contestants of ‘Survivor: Gabon,’ Ken Hoang, who just so happens to be a professional gamer. Hoang has won over $50,000 playing Super Smash Bros. competitively, and he’s not shy about it. In fact, he believes his gaming skills will help him in the competition. “Gaming will help me because I do well under pressure. I always come through. I rarely choke,” says an optimistic Hoang.
We’ll have to wait until the series begins on September 25 to find out how he does.
